It is my great pleasure to invite you to the Tenth International Congress of the Croatian Society of Nuclear Medicine, May 07-10, 2020, which will take place in the beautiful small city of Vodice. Vodice was first mentioned in 1402, although it was already founded in Roman times, as Arausa. The name Vodice derives from the word voda, meaning water sources which supplied the whole area. Vodice is a popular tourist destination in Croatia, with most of its population oriented towards tourism and providing accommodation for visitors in hotels, apartments and houses.
Since the very first Congress of the Croatian Society of Nuclear Medicine in Zagreb, in 1994, we have seen many important developments in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, with a significant number of eminent lecturers going through our lecture rooms, giving the chance to the international audience to be informed about the progress in our field.
Our next congress will be the perfect opportunity to meet many of the world’s experts again and to present our own achievements in the form of oral or poster presentations.
We shall continue our praxis of Continuing Medical Education (CME), which will be credited by the EACCME and by the Croatian Medical Chamber.
We are particularly glad to announce the 15th Alpe-Adria Nuclear Medicine Symposium, organized by the Austrian, Italian, Slovenian and Croatian Nuclear Medicine Societies, which will be held on the same venue on Saturday, May 9th. This Symposium will confirm a high level of collaboration among our Societies.
Simultaneously with the main program, the Annual Meeting of the Croatian Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologists will be held on May 08-10, 2020. All aspects of nuclear medicine diagnostics and therapy, as seen by technologists, will be considered.
Don’t miss the opportunity to explore Vodice and the beautiful natural parks in its vicinity. Joining our social events will give you the chance to meet your colleagues in person and discuss with them the most interesting topics of nuclear medicine.
Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe and we shall do our best to offer you a very pleasant stay and make you feel at home, while being with us.
We cordially invite you and look forward to seeing you in Vodice in May 2020!
Prof. Dražen Huić, MD, PhD
